The railway is also served by a cycle route called the Castleman’s Trailway this follows the old Somerset and Dorset line which runs between Poole and Wimborne, this can also be accessed from Broadstone.
We are about a 10 minute bike ride from Broadstone, please follow the way points for the cycle route.
The nearest mainline station is Poole where South Western Railway run services from London and Weymouth. Services from the north/midlands are run by CrossCountry trains and these services terminate at Bournemouth so you will need to change trains and get a connecting service to Poole railway station.
Buses run from Poole to Wimborne and return. You will need to catch a ‘More’ bus (Wilts & Dorset) Number 4, these depart every 30 minutes from Poole bus station, please check the route with the driver if unsure. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes from Poole.
You will need the get off at ‘Oakley Lane’ which is close to The Willet Arms Pub. Then it is a short walk. (Refer to map)
Close to our entrance you will see a Pedestrian crossing, please use these lights to cross as the road as it can be very busy, once over the road take the first turning on your right into Merley Park Road and you will see the entrance to the Cobham’s Sports and Social Ground, go through the blue gates and you have arrived.
